Applications and admissions
Have people apply for a course or training, then review and accept them yourself.
For trainings and programs where you choose who joins. With applications on, a course’s public page shows an Apply button instead of enrolling people straight away. You read each application and decide.
Turn on applications for a course
- Build your questions first in Marketing > Forms. Use a long-answer field for essay questions. See Make a form.
- Open Selling > Courses and click the course.
- Switch on Applications.
- Choose the Application form. Pick “No questions” if you only need a name and email.
- Optional: set an Application fee. Leave it at 0 for none.
An Apply button now shows on the course’s public page.
Review applications
- Open Selling > Applications. It opens on Needs review. Use the filter to see Waitlisted, Accepted, Rejected or All.
- Click Review on an application to read their answers.
- Optional: add a Private note about your decision. Only you see it.
- Click Accept & enrol, Waitlist or Decline.
Good to know
- Paying the application fee never accepts anyone. The fee and your decision are separate.
- Accepting someone into a paid course creates their enrollment, but they still pay the course price before the lessons open. Acceptance isn’t free access.
- Accepting someone a second time doesn’t create a second enrollment.
- Each application shows whether its fee is paid.
- An application fee needs Stripe. See Connect Stripe to take card payments.
- Want to give someone a place for free? See Enroll students by hand.
- Applications are part of ColibriOS Pro. See The Free plan and ColibriOS Pro.
