Add a product to your shop

Add something to sell in your shop, with photos, options, shipping and stock.

Products are the things you sell from your shop: candles, books, oils, recordings, gift items. A product can also be offered as an add-on when someone signs up for a gathering.

Steps

  1. Open Selling > Products and click New product.
  2. Enter a Name, choose a Type (physical, digital or service) and set the Price.
  3. Add a Description, then click Add photo to add up to 8 photos. The first photo is the cover in your shop.
  4. Optional: under Options (variants), click Add option group for choices like size or color. Type the group name and its choices, for example Size with Small, Medium, Large. Tag a photo with an option and it shows when a buyer picks that option.
  5. For a physical product, set up shipping:
    • Add the weight and size under Package details to show live carrier rates. This needs EasyShip connected under Settings > Shipping.
    • Or set a Flat shipping fee, which is charged when live rates aren’t available. Enter 0 for free shipping.
  6. Switch on Charge sales tax to use your default rate from Settings > Tax.
  7. Optional: switch on Track inventory and enter how many you have On hand, plus a Low-stock alert at number.
  8. Leave Active and Show on public shop on, then click Create product.

Share it

Your shop’s address is the Direct link at the top of the Products page. The copy icon on a product’s row copies a link to that one product.

Good to know

  • Paid products need Stripe. See Connect Stripe to take card payments.
  • With Show on public shop off, a product is link only: it isn’t listed in your shop, but it can still be bought from its link or as a gathering add-on.
  • When you track inventory, a product that runs out drops off your shop on its own.
  • Turn Active off to stop a product being ordered anywhere.
  • Tag buyers with adds a tag to the buyer’s contact when their order is paid. Handy for a follow-up email.
  • Have a spreadsheet of products? Import CSV at the top of the page brings them in at once.
  • See what sold and ship it from Orders and fulfillment.
