Schedule a campaign (and repeat it every week)
Send an email to a chosen group at a set time, once or on the same day every week.
A campaign is an email to a chosen group of contacts, sent now or at a time you pick. It works just like a newsletter, with the same composer, recipients and test send. Use it when timing matters, like a reminder that goes out every Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
Schedule a campaign
- Open Marketing > Email > Campaigns and press New campaign.
- Write the email and add recipients the same way as a newsletter. See Write and send a newsletter.
- Press Send test to me and check it.
- Press Schedule. In Send at, pick the day and time.
- Press Schedule. A banner at the top of the email shows when it will go out.
Repeat it every week
- In the Schedule send box, tick Repeat every week.
- Optional: pick a Last send on date to end the series.
- Optional: under Each week, send to everyone tagged, pick one or more tags. Each week’s copy is then built fresh from your contacts, so anyone tagged since last week is included. Add tags under Leaving out anyone tagged to skip a group.
- Press Schedule weekly.
After each send, next week’s copy appears in your list with a Weekly badge, at the same day and time. You can open it and edit the words before it goes.
Stop or change it
- Stop repeating: this week’s send still goes out, and nothing after it.
- Cancel: this send does not go out, and the weekly series ends.
- To change the time, open the email and press Reschedule.
Good to know
- Leave Each week, send to everyone tagged empty and every copy goes to the same people as the first one.
- Unsubscribes and email permission are checked again at every send, so someone who unsubscribes never gets next week’s copy.
- Pressing Send sends once and never repeats. Only scheduled sends roll forward.
- Already sent a campaign and want it to go out again? Open it, edit it and press Send again. It goes out as a new copy.
- For emails timed around each person’s booking (like “an hour before your class”), use Session emails instead.
- Campaigns need your sending domain set up first. See Send email from your own domain.
