Collect voice testimonials

Send past clients a link so they can record a few words from their phone, then keep the ones you love.

Testimonials gives you one link to send after you’ve worked with someone. They press record on their phone, say a sentence or two about their experience, and it lands in your workspace. If they’d rather write it, they can type it instead.

Ask for a testimonial

  1. Open Marketing > Testimonials.
  2. Press Copy the link to share.
  3. Send the link to a past client by email or text, with a short, warm note.

What your client sees

  1. A page titled with your business name, asking them to say a few words.
  2. A record button (up to 3 minutes), or a box to write it instead.
  3. Their name, and their email if they want to share it.
  4. A box to tick saying you can use what they said, including their first name, in your marketing. Then they press Send it.

Look after what comes in

  1. New testimonials arrive on the New tab.
  2. Play the recording, or read the written words.
  3. Press Keep for the ones you love. They move to the Kept tab. Press Hide for any you won’t use.
  4. Use Copy the words to grab the written version, Download to save the audio, or Add photo to pair it with a picture from your Media Library.
  5. Press Delete to remove one for good.

Good to know

  • Nothing is published anywhere by ColibriOS. The recording is private to you. It goes on your website only if you put the words there yourself, for example in a Testimonials section on a page.
  • Recordings work in the common phone and computer browsers. Anyone whose browser won’t record can type their words instead.
  • You can also collect testimonials through a form. On a form’s page in Marketing > Forms, use the Send answers to Testimonials card. Answers from people who say you may share them land on the New tab. See Make a form.
  • The link’s page can’t be sent without the permission box ticked. Testimonials that come from a form show how the person wants to be named, such as Share without a name. Follow it when you use their words.
