Your privacy, terms and other legal pages
See which legal pages your website has, fill in what they need, and rewrite one when your details change.
Every ColibriOS website comes with the legal pages it needs. Colibri writes them from your business details and what you sell, and links them in your site footer, beside the email and text consent boxes, and beside every pay, book and enroll button.
Which pages you get
- Privacy Policy: every site.
- Terms of Service: every site.
- Accessibility Statement: every site.
- Disclaimer: every site.
- Refund and Cancellation Policy: when you sell or take bookings.
- Text Messaging Terms: when you have a text number.
- Affiliate Disclosure: when you earn affiliate commissions.
Check and update them
- Open Settings > Business profile. Make sure your business name, address, email and phone are filled in.
- On the same tab, set your Refund window (days) and Late-cancel notice (hours). Turn on I earn affiliate commissions if that applies to you. Save.
- Open Website > My pages and scroll to the Legal pages card.
- Press Add missing to add any page that now applies.
- To rebuild one page from your current details, press the rewrite button on its row and confirm.
Edit a page by hand
Legal pages are ordinary pages with a Legal badge in your page list. Press Edit on one and change the words like any other page.
Good to know
- Rewriting a page replaces any edits you made to it. Your other pages are not touched.
- If a detail is missing, the card warns you and the page says “contact us” in its place. Fill it in under Settings > Business profile, then rewrite the pages that need it.
- Marketing email needs a mailing address by law, so don’t skip the address.
- Saving your business profile adds any legal page that newly applies.
- Legal pages stay out of your site menu. Visitors reach them from the footer and the links beside each button.
- These pages are a solid starting point, not legal advice. If your work has special rules, have a professional read them.
