Set up 1:1 booking

Let clients book private sessions from your website, at the times you choose.

1:1 booking lets clients pick a private session and a free time on your website, then book (and pay, if it’s a paid session). Booked sessions land on your calendar with reminders.

Steps

  1. Open Scheduling > 1:1 Booking and click New session type.
  2. Fill in the Name (for example, Reiki Session), the Duration (minutes) and the Price. A price of 0 makes it free.
  3. Add a Description, plus a Location or an Online meeting link. The meeting link goes in the client’s confirmation email and never shows on your public page.
  4. Under Scheduling rules, set the Minimum notice (hours), the Booking window (days) and any Buffer before or Buffer after in minutes. Click Create session type.
  5. Open the Availability tab. Check the Timezone, then click Add hours next to each day you take bookings. Every change saves on its own, so there is no Save button.
  6. Optional: open Calendar sync so busy times on your own Google, Outlook or Apple calendar block booking slots, and so new bookings show up in your calendar.
  7. Share your booking page. The Direct link at the top of the page opens the full list of sessions. The link icon on a session type copies a link to that one session.

New bookings appear on the Booked sessions tab, upcoming first.

Different hours for different sessions

On the Availability tab, use These hours are for to pick one session type, or one staff member, and give it its own week. Those hours replace your general hours for it. Start from my general hours copies your week so you don’t retype it, and Use my general hours instead undoes it.

Good to know

  • Paid sessions need Stripe. See Connect Stripe to take card payments.
  • Anything already on your calendar, including your gatherings, blocks overlapping slots.
  • Offering a session only on certain dates, like a retreat weekend? Set Bookable from and Bookable until on the session type.
  • Ask for an intake form or waiver under Form requirements. You build the forms in Marketing > Forms: see Make a form.
  • Have staff in Contacts? Tick names under Who takes this session and visitors choose who they want to see.
  • Turn off Show on booking page to keep a session link only. Turn off Active to stop all bookings for it.
  • Your booking page only works while your public site is on.
  • The Free plan includes up to 5 booked sessions a calendar month. The 1:1 Booking page shows how many you’ve used. See The Free plan and ColibriOS Pro.
