Reward members with Journey

Turn on badges, points and levels so members are celebrated for showing up, and reward them with a tag or extra classes.

Journey gives your members badges, points and levels for showing up: coming to class, finishing a course, posting in the community. It’s off until you turn it on.

Turn it on

  1. Open People > Community.
  2. On the Journey card, flip the switch to On.
  3. Choose your switches:
    • Leaderboard in the community: shows who has the most points this month and all time.
    • Email members when they earn a badge: one email per badge, from your sending address.

Set points

Under Points, set what each action earns: attending a class or gathering, a one-to-one session, completing a lesson, finishing a course, posting, replying, receiving a heart, buying a pack, starting a membership, and four weeks in a row. Press Save points.

Posts, replies and hearts have a daily cap, so nobody can rack up points by posting over and over.

Name your levels

There are five levels, starting with Nest and ending with Radiant. Rename them to fit your practice and set how many points each one needs. Press Save levels.

Set up badges

There are six badges: first class, ten classes, a class four weeks in a row, a course finished, one year with you, and a first community post. For each one you can:

  1. Turn it on or off.
  2. Rename it.
  3. Add a Reward tag. It lands on the member’s contact record, so a funnel set to start on that tag can take it from there.
  4. Add reward Classes to their pack.

Press Save badges.

Good to know

  • Points and badges are handed out overnight. Press Run now to do today’s round right away.
  • Changing points only affects new activity. Points already earned stay as they are.
  • Each level needs more points than the one before it. The first level always starts at 0.
  • On the leaderboard, members choose whether their name shows. Anyone who doesn’t opt in shows as Anonymous.
  • Rewards only reach people who already have a contact record. Reward classes need a membership or pack to land on.
  • Members see their level and badges on their member page, and a level badge sits beside their name in the community.
  • To send a gift when someone earns a badge, pair a reward tag with a funnel. See Build a funnel.
  • Journey lives inside your community, which is part of ColibriOS Pro.
